not enough.

I would like to be one of your trusted guides during your career adventure - With years of experience in the corporate world and a passion for helping individuals like yourself
I aim to bring a unique blend of expertise and inspiration to every podcast episode, video and blog post. The Reframe & Reset Your Career Podcast and YouTube channel is a space to gain insights about your career development from industry experts across the globe.
My background is in Finance and I have worked for over 15 years in front office and advisory roles in Investment Banking, the “Big 4” accounting firms and Investment Management. However, my interest in performance development began at an early age through playing sport.
I believe there's a smarter, more strategic, way to approach development.
From the age of seven, my dream was to be a professional cricketer. I had some talent, worked hard and had plenty of luck! I used to become nervous when I played as I wanted to succeed too much but over time I developed the ability to relax and picked up the importance of the mental side to achieve sporting success
I worked my way up through the junior county ranks and eventually played cricket for Essex CCC 2nd XI. I was paid for playing in one match so technically, I was a professional athlete with a very short career! I did have the good fortune to play with and against a number of players who went on to play international cricket for England and New Zealand and even played at Lord’s so I gained an understanding of what it took to succeed at the highest level.
How did I get here?
My career path has not been linear. There have been a number of peaks and troughs.
Even though, I have worked hard and achieved some good qualifications, I’ve been through periods where I have struggled to find the right job and sometimes have felt stuck and dissatisfied.
This brought up two thoughts “is there a smarter more strategic way to approach career development as sometimes working harder is simply not enough?” and “is there a way of creating a systematic approach to the whole process?”
If I was having these thoughts, I'm certain other people are too. Perhaps you are right now. Maybe you're ready for a change in your career and need a helping hand getting out of your current career hole.
Well, there's where I aim to help. And so I hope that the Reframe & Reset Your Career podcast and YouTube channel with their incredibly insightful guests, and my blog can be of service.
